Theology MATTERS - Especially sound theology!

Ain't it the truth?!!

One my favorite "dates" with hubby is perusing bookstores together--new or used, but mostly I like the used bookstores best. Last week he took a day off--our girls were away for the week at church camp--and we visited one of our favorite local "used" bookstores. I found this cartoon in a book --and had to buy it--published by Hallmark in 1967, the title is "The Meditations of Linus", by Charles M. Schulz. Stay tuned because there are a number of other "blog-worthy" cartoons in this little book!

I LOVE it! Our daughter Anna is living in Nepal where it is currently raining, raining, raining. I just sent her a link to this post!

And I totally agree that sound theology DOES matter. I enjoy reading your posts.

Aww, yes, sound theology DOES take a great load off our minds. And this was just too cute.

We have a used bookstore chain here in D/FW called Half-Price Books. I always walk out with more than I originally anticipated... I hope one day my husband will peruse such places with me, even if he does curb my spending there...

ukrainiac: my in-laws recently returned from Napal--before the rains!

marcian: Half-Price in D/FW is what got us hooked on used books! We can spend HOURS there! And yes, we walk out with more than we originally anticipated!! As a matter of fact, it is a MUST stop/see anytime we return for a visit! Oh yea, Kansas City now has several locations which we include in our "vacation" plan. Are we just pathetic???? Don't answer that!

Loved this! I'm looking forward to enjoying the other clips you choose to share...and I MUST get that book.

As far as used book stores are concerned, I don't even go into them anymore, unless I've been a generous gift certificate or something; I lose all sense of self-discipline when I walk thru those doors!

I saw your recent comment over at S@S and came over to see your blog. Well done! I've added you to my RSS. I live in Alabama, but am from OK... I remember the storm celler and my Grandma's dugout well. ; )

ann: Welcome, thanks for dropping by! My posting can be sporadic--good thing you're using the RSS--but I try to post something "of substance"(?????) at least once a week.

Ahhhh, such fond memories of OK you have! Ha! :-)
