Give Thanks ~ November 29

I'm thankful for "after Thanksgiving turkey gumbo"!


This has become a tradition over the years for hubby and I (and now our girls) as we boil down the turkey carcass to make a wonderfully rich broth for the gumbo--made by a real-live Cajun (hubby!). Yummmmmmm!

I froze my carcass this year. I'll have to get it out and make soup today! Thanks for the reminder!
