I agree. So, I asked my pastor his view on limited atonement (I wasn't sure where he stood because unfortunately we don't discuss deep theological issues at our church :( Anyway, he gave me a weird answer centered around predestination being what God foreknew. So I questioned that and gave good references for my understanding of unconditional election. His reply? Be careful following the TULIP to the letter because most 5-point Calvinist don't believe in evangalism. Then he recommended a book - Chosen But Free (Norman Geisler)....Not sure how to respond to that but I *know* he is correct.
Theology is messy and I don't want to end up leaving another church. Although I could probably deal w/ his Arminianism more than our old church's Emerging stuff :)
