Looks like we can add 'emergent' to our Survey of Denominations course! Several weeks ago I noticed a flier posted on the bulletin board of a restaurant where my husband and I enjoy our weekly 'date' every Saturday morning. At the time what caught my attention was the '...we don't have the answers...we're asking the questions...' line of thinking--how emergent is THAT? (Very!!!)

Hmmm...I ask lots of questions. But seems to me the concept of a conversation with God would imply a two way thing. Would seem that God would be asking some of the questions...
the walk: Oh yes, nothing wrong with asking questions--I say bring 'em on! It's just that one of the defining characteristics of emergents is the notion that there are no real answers, we cannot be certain of anything, and what answers you may think you have are really indefensible--especially from/in/through Scripture.
