How many blogs do YOU keep track of and follow on a regular basis? I follow several dozen everyday. I track a mix of "high profile" blogs (Al Mohler, Pyromaniacs, etc.) and "unknowns" (people like me!). If you don't mind, would you please let me know how you track my blog (feed reader, manually through your own blog, browser bookmark or favorite, etc.)
How does a full-time stay-at-home wife, mother, home educator, and active church member DO all that? I do it via a 'feed reader' (aka: aggregator) which makes the task very 'doable' in 15 - 20 mins. Now tell the truth, you were picturing me in my jammies slumped in a chair in front of the computer screen for hours, weren't you? :-)
For those of you who are unfamiliar with--or haven't taken the time to explore--feed readers, here are a couple of articles from a VERY helpful website called, 'Blogging Basics 101'.
What is a feed reader? Should I use one?
Would it (a feed reader) make my blogging life a lot easier?

I keep up with yours (and around 20 others) through a feed reader - Google reader, to be exact! By the way, is there any way to know how many people read your blog through a feed reader? I don't think those readers show up on sitemeter unless they outclick to the actual blog (or do they? Maybe I'm mistaken. I'm a bit of a blogging ignoramus.)
rebekah: GOOD question! I've often wondered too, but haven't taken time to try and pin it down.
I can see on my site meter that there are a lot of entries via Google, but nothing that indicates if it is specifically the 'reader'.
So, I'll join you in the 'blogging ignoramus' group!!! :-)
I subscribe to your blog with Google Reader. I used to use bloglines, but the Google Reader is part of my start page and I really like it.
I "follow" about 45 blogs, but only about 20 of them update regularly.
I like being able to read blogs in the reading pane in Google, but sometimes you miss stuff by not going to the website, like template changes and sometimes photos.
through my own blog...
I think that's right.
I have Bloglines, so I know when you've updated!
Because I keep up with blogs only when I have time, I usually hit the sidebar links on my own blog page.
I've Bookmarked the Blogs I read regularly.
I just have you on my links bar:) I generally only read livejournal posts on my friends list, since they show up all on one page... that's how I keep up with my mom and sister in law and mother in law, as well as friends from out of state:)
Anyway, I read yours... then often follow links you post and other bloggers through your comments/links section. How's that for 'clear as mud'???
