June 3, 2007 - Las Vegas
My husband invited me to attend his company's International Convention with him--I was looking forward to time alone with him (even though he spent pretty much every waking hour working!), lots of quiet reading in the hotel room, and some swimming in the incredible hotel pool.
Much to my delight, Elvis greeted us at the door of the company reception our first night in town! Since I'd teased our daughters that I was determined to get my picture taken with Elvis while we were in Vegas I walked all the way back to our hotel room (15 min. round trip in our HUGE hotel/casino)--I'm so glad I did!
I've never been much of an Elvis fan, but this "younger" (and TALLER) Elvis was a delightful and talented young man!
And you thought I was the serious stoic type, didn't you?

Oooooh, he's cute! I'm an Elvis fan from waaaaaaaaaaay back. Saw him in person in March 1977. It was certainly one of the highlights of my (young) life.
Sounds like y'all had a good time!
