I liked lighting that Christ candle and singing each night. *sigh* But, like you, practicality must win out when you have 6 people living in 900 sq. feet!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33237905.post-60568303843111760842008-01-12T14:49:00.000-06:002008-01-12T14:49:00.000-06:00kim: I understand your heart break over this!!! I ...kim: I understand your heart break over this!!! I tried out a 'designer' tree the first year we moved to Dallas--it was a total BOMB. From that year on we've had trees with character and MEMORIES!

nicholas: I've considered that! But our house is pretty short on space, so practicality won out! But oh how tempting it is!!

marcian: Our cats have loved the tree as much as us! Ha! Our youngest cat manages to find a low-hanging ornament (we purposely put the more durable ones down low) and turns them into hockey pucks!! It's a riot--unless it's in the wee hours of the morning!Conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16388126339087271102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33237905.post-5743002878497523812008-01-12T11:04:00.000-06:002008-01-12T11:04:00.000-06:00ooooh *inspecting the tree* are those real cranber...ooooh *inspecting the tree* are those real cranberries, or just colored balls? I like the deep red.

I'm starting my own collection of Christmas ornaments, though I haven't had a tree in the house since 2002. I'm not sure what the cat would do with unlimited (and unsupervised) access to one.Marcianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12497282481295432323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33237905.post-647269781425282272008-01-12T09:02:00.000-06:002008-01-12T09:02:00.000-06:00That sounds really neat. It was such a bittersweet moment.

I was so sad when I saw their tree this year and noticed that there were none of his ornaments on it. My daughter in law likes theme trees and his second grade sleds and third grade clothes pin soldiers just didn't make the cut.

Broke my heart.Kim from Hiraethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16593935060666484046noreply@blogger.com
